As I've been doing the last 4 years or so I picked up some new shoes on Zappos recently. I always buy shoes online. I enjoy the fact that I can order the exact shoes I want in the color and style I want. Going to the mall or shoe store it's really hard to find something I want. If I do the price is usually high and so is sales tax.
Buying shoes online is a perfect example of longtail commerce. I get to buy something I like that would probably not be stocked in my local stores.
For my every day casual shoes I pretty much alternate from Clarks black casual shoes like the Tracker or New Balance Men's running shoes. I have the New Balance M8505 and 8508 as my recent finds.
I gave my wife a gift card recently that could be used at Gap and Old Navy stores and websites. It seems she has found a newer online shoe store that also offers free shipping and returns. That is Piperlime.com. I had never heard of this site before. I just took a look and it seems like they could have some good deals as well, especially on womens shoes.
